Re: What do you tell a 9-year old?



Good afternoon, all!

Just as a followup to this, I had the honor of giving a pack of cub scouts
(Wolves, I think, the youngest age group) a tour of our construction equipment
museum Saturday afternoon. I was told to expect seven boys; what I wasn't told
by the mom in charge was that three of the "boys" were their grown-up dads!

Great bunch of kids, extremely interested and enthusiastic and full of
questions. Very first question was the best: One of the little ones pointed at
our 1926 Marion electric shovel and asked in all sincerity, "Is that older than
my grandma?"

Makes it all worthwhile, doesn't it?
