Emergency Disaster Plan Workshop



A reminder that if you would still like to sign up for the Emergency
Disaster Plan Workshop on April 5, 2001 at Dowling College, please
contact Virginia Antonucci, Regional Archivist, at LILRC-Melville
Library Building, Suite 5310, Stony Brook, New York 11794-3399 or e-mail
at vantonuc@lilrc.org.  Telephone 631-632-6656 if you have not received
an application in the mail and would like one.

The workshop will cover the following topics:
Evaluating your facility (archive, library, historical repository) for
potential hazards
Will show you how to write an Emergency Disaster Plan
Experts will be available to provide information on specialized areas
such as fire, flood, theft and other threats.

Having an up to date Disaster Plan is vital to any organization and in
some cases, it is a requirement when applying for grants.

On May 24 there will be a free optional session to go over the Disaster
Plan you have completed and answer any questions that may have arisen
when preparing the Disaster Plan for your organization.
