newspaper digitization/indexing expertise sought

Hi All,

On behalf of another library, I am seeking a potential consultant (perhaps
2 consultants) to help write a grant proposal, and to provide further
services if the grant is funded.

The library hopes to digitize and index approximately 35 years worth of
issues (early 20th century) of a major local newspaper. The two main areas
they need expert advice are in

1) Workflow structure, standards, cost comparisons, etc. for the
digitization work;
2) Indexing each article of each issue during the 35-year span

Please send responses to me, not the list. I would appreciate
recommendations and/or responses from anyone who has had direct, relevant
experience with newspaper reformatting projects.

Sincerely,
Chuck Thomas
