Digital Preservation Meeting Announcement

AIIM International announces the establishment of a study group with the
intent to develop standard practices, guidelines, procedures and test
targets that will allow users to specify quality levels and provide
measurement tools and procedures for non-traditional methods of image
capture and retrieval. We like to call this "Digital Preservation".
Digital imaging and digital to film providers today do not have such
benchmarks in place for non-optical capture and recovery. The first meeting
of this study team will be held on Wednesday, May 2 in New York City at the
Jacob Javits Convention Center where the team will begin drafting project
proposals and determining what standards are needed. Please plan to attend.
