Cook's 'Missing Day' and 'Clinton's Body Count' stories

"The Missing Day" is a faith-building fable, apparently first invented by a
fellow named Harry Rimmer in 1936; it may even go back to 1890. The story is
periodically updated to accomodate new technology. See
http://www.snopes.com/religion/lostday.htm for this tale's history.

"The Clinton Body Count" is also a familiar bit of netlore, and also bogus.
While it's true that people connected to Clinton one way or another have
died in various ways, a man who was a governor and U.S. President knows
and/or works with THOUSANDS of people, and statistically some of them are
going to die in unusual ways. See
http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/outrage/clinton.htm for a more thorough
debunking.

Kidron Hardware, Kidron, OH, is smack in the middle of Ohio Amish country.
This is a fantastic hardware store, for any non-electric appliance,
household or farm doo-dad, children's puzzles and whatnot. They also put out
a nice catalog.
