Our Boston Public Library Access Center services
http://www.bpl.org/WWW/gl/glsaccess.html

deflect many of the people who approach or contact
 Access Center desk personnel.

A better Boston Public Library Access Center program
that reaches out among our communities constituencies
could garner more participation in improving customer
 services excellence.

1. Boston Public Library Access Center needs to be more
visable relocated nearby the first floor entrance
    instead of downstairs.

2. BPL personnel at the Access Center desk need to put
greater emphasis on customers service excellence.

It's an attitude taken that makes necessary in an
environment that becomes adversarial where Boston
Public Library users/consumers are put on the
defensive having to negotiate around countless
admonitions we don't do that, we can't do that, that
is not allowed, we haven't that, etc... instead of an
environment of let's see if there's some alternate
ways of providing information for the question.

Better supervision, training and staff development
 programming are needed.

Our Regional and Massachusetts Library of Last Recourse
Boston Public Library needs to make more transparent
is operations and services by letting interested
public library users know more about happenings back
stage behind the scenes that compliment more effective
use and better navigation of our Copley Square
 buildings' departments, floors and collections.

Try asking BPL Access Center for the Access Center
 reports made annually.

They have denied or delayed access to these public
 reports flouting intellectual freedom principles
