Our Regional and Massachusetts Library of Last Recourse
City of Boston Public Library Departments need to host
the Museum and Library Archives Institute next time.
BPL needs to make better use and greater use of the
resources of archives and records collegial
communities for improving access to our legitimately
public documents BPL's very own institutional archives
collections.
Archives of Boston Public Library, BPL's very own
archives of itself, haven't been maintained for
accessibility.
Legitimately public Regional and Massachusetts Library
of Last Recourse City of Boston Public Library
Departments' institutional records of even the last
few years haven't been available for access within the
guidelines of state Records Conservation Board
standards, state Records Conservation Unit guidelines
and state Public Records Division FOI freedom of
information principles.
Intellectual freedom principles, reference and users
customers services guidelines haven't been a
sufficient part of BPL personnel practices.

I remain, as ever, one of many advocating for
institutional change and for improving the
organizational culture of our cities' public
libraries!
Cheers!
