The State Historical Society of North Dakota- Bismarck has the following position open:
Librarian I
Starting Salary Range- $1830-$1910/month

Application forms are available from any ND Job Service office, the web at www.state.nd.us/cpers <http://www.state.nd.us/cpers>, or the Central Personnel Division. Applicants claiming ND veterans' preference must submit form DD214 at the time of application. Claims for disabled veteran's preference must also include a current statement of disabled status from the Veterans' Affairs Office. Application materials must be received at the State Historical Society of North Dakota by 5:00 p.m. on July 3, 2001.

Summary of Work:
Responsible for aiding people researching the collections of the State Archives and Historical Research Library through requests in the Reading Room, by letter or by telephone and email. Retrieves and re-shelves materials needed. Directs researchers to appropriate sources of information to answer inquiries. Instructs researchers as needed in the use and preservation of materials. Maintains control of the Reading Room and provides interlibrary loan service to other libraries requesting loan of microfilm. Serves on divisional/agency teams or committees as requested. Supervises seasonal and volunteer reference staff.
