Frank Fuller Avery photographs online

Manuscripts, Archives, and Special Collections is pleased to announce the
availability of a new online database of 800 photographs from the Frank
Fuller Avery Collection. Avery worked as the superintendent of schools at
the Colville Indian Agency and later as a day school inspector. Through his
photography, he documented life on the Colville Reservation between 1901
and 1916.

You may search this collection alone:
http://www.wsulibs.wsu.edu/holland/masc/xavery.html
or across a growing list of digital collections:
http://www.wsulibs.wsu.edu/holland/masc/imagedatabases.htm

Forthcoming digital collections include Early Washington Maps: A Digital
Collection in partnership with the University of Washington, the William
Delbert Barkhuff Collection, an amateur photographer and student in the first class at Washington State University, and full text, digital versions of early
Pullman phone and campus directories.

This project was made possible by support from the WSU Department of General
Education. Thanks also to members of the Confederated Tribes of the Colville
Reservation who assisted with identifying the people and places in the Avery Collection.
