sound files

Aloha all,

We would like to digitize oral histories from audio tapes to place on
our web site. We are not well versed at all regarding sound files but
want to know if there are any software packages that will help us with
noise reduction like a hum or hiss.

Is there a user friendly program anyone is using that they can
recommend?

Mahalo,
Judy Kearney
