wire mesh cabinets

Illinois Wesleyan University is currently putting the finishing touches on
its new library (See "New Building Project" at http://www.iwu.edu/library
). For the reading room in archives/special collections, a wire mesh was
planned on the upper cabinets and closed doors on the lower level. Both
having adjustable shelves at least
every 12 inches. What size wire mesh should be used? Are there any
special specifications, suppliers for this type of mesh?
