selling online
I help archives, museums, and other institutions sell coins, currency,
stamps, and envelopes. Generally, I use international auction houses
because they produce the best prices.
The key to selling anything is knowing the collectable (being an expert)
and picking the proper venue. The archivists that I work with are experts
in their field and I am an expert in mine.
Wheather using an online or floor auction, the lot description of the
collectable and the condition write-up is critical. This takes a person who
knows the subject, the technical jargon, criteria for evaluating condition.
I hope this helps.
