Pentagon

There are a few people here at the National Recreation and Park Association whose spouses work at the Pentagon. Luckily, many were not in the building at the time. One of our employee's husband heads a construction company that works for the Pentagon. He and a colleague of his had gone out to his truck to get some things, and then went back into the Pentagon-seconds later he heard the roar of the plane - and saw his truck blown up to bits during the explosion.

The same NRPA employee's father-in-law, who works for ebay, was attending a board meeting directly across the street from the Pentagon. He saw the plane explode into the building. The head of the committee said, "Get out now." They made it home safely.

There is at least a handful of good news to share regarding this horrific tragedy.
