Ulster County Gazette

Hello,

I recently found in our collections a copy of the seemingly infamous Ulster
County Gazette of January 4, 1800, which reports on George Washington's
death and funeral.

Across the top of the masthead the paper says "Card extra.--Copies of this
paper sent to any part of the United States upon receipt of 15 cents.
Address, Evingston & Laycock, Box 687, Janesville, Wis."

It's obviously a reprinted edition, but I'm having a hard time figuring out
exactly which one, if there were several. WorldCat is not helping. From the
paper and printing style, it clearly looks 19th-century, but not from 1800,
as Janesville, Wisconsin, did not exist then.

If anybody knows more about this, I'd appreciate some insight.

Thanks!
