Printers and ink

Dear Colleagues,

Does anyone have experience with printers and ink designed especially
for archival use? We want to keep paper copies of some of the Web pages
that various units and individuals create for our College. Epson has
something called "Archival Ink" which appears from their Web page to be
designed for use with only one of their printers, one which is
particularly for photos. There may be others from other companies that
I'm not aware of.

Photos or not, does "archival ink" used with the right paper really last
up to 200 years? Do we know whether ordinary ink would do just as well?
Do some other companies have something more suitable? Any other
suggestions?

Thanks for any and all help anyone can give me.
