Re: Friday Funnies - early

To echo that, I saw something a few years back on CSpan, where they took a
rotary phone into a school and showed a bunch of 4 year olds how to use it.
They were particularly showing the kids how to dial 911 on this ancient
artifact, so if they found themselves needing help they could get it,
despite the lack of pushbuttons. One more outreach possibility for archives
& museums.

It is making me feel a little old; even for my relative youth, it brought
back memories of the rotary phone in my parent's house, and that comforting
"zzziiiippp, chk chk chk chk" sound. Plus the rotary phone phenomenon
allows me to solve one of the most irritating things in my life - the ^%$(
menus when I call customer service.
