Darby's Rangers WWII

Colleagues:
One of my patrons, a very old gentleman, wants information on
surviving members of the family of Brig. Gen. William O. (Bill) Darby, whose
famous rangers fought the Germans in Italy late in W. W. II. He was killed
on April 30, 1945. This gentleman wants to give the medals he won during the
campaign to Darby's family as a token of his love and respect. Can anyone on
the list help with this WWII question?
Darby was born in Fort Smith, AR in 19ll.
