Re: Securing boxes for storage
We too use the large rolls of plastic wrap. We put document boxes on book
trucks and wrap around the whole thing. The book trucks are wheeled into
a large van with a tailgate that lowers (sorry to use such technical
terminology). The van should be packed to the max so the book trucks
don't rattle around. At the other end, wheel the trucks to the right
spot and CUT the wrap off (don't bother trying to unwrap - too clingy).
This works well if you don't have too far to travel.
Advantages: it takes only a few people, no outside contracts, no pallets,
no forklifts, do as little or as much as you like at one time, your own
staff will know how to re-shelve properly.
