Position Opening: Manager, Library Services

Office/Location: Office of the Clerk, Legislative Resource Center

Annual Salary: Commensurate with experience up to $72,264

Job Summary:   Provide management, oversight, and supervision of library operations and personnel.  Plan and coordinate the delivery of library services to

Members, congressional staff, and the general public consistent with established policies and procedures.  Provide advisory services to congressional offices as

necessary and develop and maintain a library disaster recovery plan.
 
Minimum Requirements:  Must be competent in the operation of IBM-PC compatible computer systems and able to communicate clearly and concisely

both orally and in writing.  Ability to work simultaneously on several projects as directed.  A Bachelor's degree with proven research experience is required.

Candidate will maintain current knowledge and developments in emerging technology and library automation with government and private libraries.

Management and supervisory experience is required.  Ability to work in a team-oriented work environment is required.  Experience working with and

cataloging U. S. Government Publications and Documents preferred.
