Greetings--my Ph.D. is in ethnomusicology and I got into archiving from
the
sound archiving side. I've had lots of anthro and I teach
ethnomusicology
courses out of the anthro dept. here, and I'm the library liason for
the
anthro dept. (which means I do all their bibliographic instruction, book
selection, etc.) I would be interested in seeing what other anthro
librarians are up to, especially in terms of book buying and
recommendations
for books that should be in every library that supports an anthro
program,
regardless of the program's focus. Hope this makes sense!

Best,

(Multiple postings)

I am looking for anyone who has an anthropology degree and is now a
librarian. There are a couple of us who have been corresponding and
we'd
like to find more "anthro-librarians." If there is enough interest,
maybe
we can create our own discussion group/list.

Please contact me OFF LIST at <jsiess@ibi-opl.com>

Thanks. I look forward to hearing from you.
