Duties:

Perform duties that support the reduction of backlogged print and special
format collections. Oversee timely handling of incoming mail. Search for
duplication of backlogged books and serials. Create catalog records for and
update tracking database on manuscript and pictorial collection materials.

Required Qualifications:

Relevant library experience, including skill in searching library catalogs
and other bibliographic databases. Self-motivation and ability to work
independently with general instructions and with minimal supervision.
Aptitude for accuracy and detailed work; ability to organize and prioritize
multiple tasks and to work effectively with interruptions. Knowledge of
Microsoft Office and e-mail. Ability to work in a rapidly changing
environment.

Desired Qualifications:

Reading knowledge of Spanish or other European languages. Ability to drive
a cargo van.

Duties:

Arrange, describe, and catalog single item manuscripts and small manuscript
collections. Copy catalog English, Spanish, and other European language
monographs and microfilm using OCLC.

Required Qualifications:

Experience with arrangement and description of manuscript collections.
Experience with OCLC (or comparable cataloging system). Attention to detail
and good verbal and written communication skills.

Desired Qualifications:

Reading knowledge of Spanish or other European language(s). Familiarity
with MARC formats and coding.
