Historic ACT Progressive Archivist material on web

Progressive Archivists presents several pages from the
newsletter of ACT, activist archivists from the early
1970s. The text is available on the web at
http://www.libr.org/Progarchs
ACT was instrumental in the reform and democratization
of the American archival profession beginning in the
1970s.
A report on the diversity round tables from SAA 2001,
Washington D. C. is also available at the same web
site.
Read what previous progressive archivists have done in
the past and what other, similar archivist groups are
doing now at the libr.org web site.
Progressive Archivists is an email discussion list,
caucus and discussion board for archivists and anyone
else interested in social responsibility in the
context of the archival profession.
Ours is a low traffic, open and unmoderated list.
