Lingerie bill leads to arrest of treasurer
A Victoria's Secret charge led Richland authorities to the theft of
$231,000 from the township over five years.

In June 1996, Buffy Guenst became Richland Township's new treasurer. Within days, police say, she cashed a $4,800 check that should have paid the municipal electric bill.
A quarter of a million dollars in diverted tax money later, Guenst, 31, was arrested yesterday on felony theft charges.
