Not Really RAIN, but...(sorta off topic)



One of Peter's links took me very indirectly to the following article:

The whole thing is 60 pages, so you have to download a ZIP or Stuffit file.
I've read about half, and so far I'm very impressed.  He writes well, and I
think anyone interested in computers and their impact on society (including
us professionally) ought to take a look.

Part of his purpose is to explain why Linux is important; as a fed-up
Windows user wondering whether or not I could make a go of Linux, I thought
it might be worth reading.  I haven't even gotten to his take on Linux yet,
but it's already been worth the read.
