ARSC Workshop on Archival Audio

The Association for Recorded Sound Collections is pleased to announce:

A pre-conference Workshop on the Management of Archival Sound Recordings

Topics and speakers include:

- The care and handling of sound recordings, by Steve Weiss, Sound and
Image Librarian for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

- Intellectual Property and the Sound Archive, by Samuel Brylawski, Head of
the Recorded Sound Section, Library of Congress

- Understanding Digital Audio, by Konrad Strauss,  Director of Recording
Arts, Indiana University

- A Look at Digital Audio Workstations, by Peter Alyea, Audio-Visual
Production Specialist and Senior Studio Engineer, Library of Congress

WHEN: May 8, 2002, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Box lunch will be provided
