Silverfish

We have recently come across four silverfish over a two week period and we
are obviously concerned but we don't want to overreact. Overreacting can be
worse than the actual problem. How long should we monitor a potential
silverfish problem before we decide to move forward with a treatment plan?
I would also be very interested to hear from people who have controlled
pests without using pesticides.

First of all I would contact an extirmating company to find out how bad your infestation really is. Secondly you may have to use pesticides to kill off the initial influx and then implement other procedures that will reduce the chances of a re-infestation. A quick search on Google turned up the following site

you might also contact your local county agriculture agent.
