Here's another thing the list is good for: a while ago an archivist
from New Mexico contacted me about a collection of travel photos
that had been offered us, but in which we were not interested. I
posted the original offer to the list about three years ago; he called
about two months ago and asked if we still had the original info, as
his archive is looking for such collections. I found the original offer
letter but in the meantime lost his number and name!

So if the photo archivist from New Mexico who contacted me a
while ago about a big travel photo collection is reading the list,
please contact me directly!

All this hoopla about how the list has degenerated reminds me of
Livin' In Eu-taw; if you don't like what you're seeing, change the
channel, not the law.
