Re: movies and archives

Desk Set is a classic Tracy and Hepburn Comedy, in Katherine Hepburn plays
head of the reference department for a national radio broadcasting
company, like say NBC. Tracy comes in and tries to improve the office by
bring in an Emerac computer from IBM. Naturally, the reference staff
feels that they are being replaced and these librarians if you will
proceed to outwit the computer. Proving at least in that day a thirty
years ago at least that man was better at search and retrevial than
computers. I hope this helps. It came out in 1957.
