Colleagues:
I have just been loaned for microfilming a wonderful Civil War diary for a
white officer in the 54 U. S. Colored Troops (2 Arkansas Colored Troops).
However, no where in the year long diary (1864) does the man identify
himself. I know he worked in the company hospital and later became a second
lieut. Any one out there know where I can find a list of the officers of the
54th U. S. Colored Troops. I have tried all of the standard sources.
Thanks.
