1882 bible preservation

Hi,

We have in our possession an old bible from around 1882. It is very
ornate, with numerous pictures of religious leaders, coins, dictionary,
apocrypha, and family births and deaths handwritten in, just to name a
few things in it. The paper is made of pine pulp. My father would like
to preserve the genealogy and has planned to take the genealogy pages
out and try to preserve them the best that he can. What I'm wondering
is, what is the best way to preserve the whole bible, if it is possible
(my dad is almost willing to take the whole thing apart to preserve the
pages individually. Is that really necessary?)? Also what is the best
way to preserve the genealogy pages when and if he takes them out? It
is an amazing Bible and I would like to keep it in the best possible
condition. Thanks so much.
