POSITION DESCRIPTION
Immediate Availability

Project Archivist.  Full and/or part-time, temporary position is
available from June 1 to August 31 for a processing archivist to assist
the curatorial staff in planning and implementing the organization of an
archive of personal papers related to leadership in the
Japanese-American and Episcopal faith community.  The assignment will
involve survey of holdings; appraisal; planning for arrangement and
description; communication of goals; integration of staff input;
preparation of finding aids; organization of records; evaluation of
research potential; preservation assessment; and documentation controls.
This position, although short term, offers an excellent opportunity to
demonstrate project planning and implementation skills.  The Archives is
looking for someone who understands the meaning of professional
achievement in the context of collaborative work.  Compensation depends
on experience with a minimum starting rate of $15.00 per hour.
