African American Family History and Genealogy

Dear Colleagues:

If you are planning to attend the SAA meeting in August in AL and are
interested in learning more about African American Family History and
Genealogy, check out page 8 in your meeting program. My pre - conference
workshop is entitled "Echoes of the Old South". We will look at providing
archival reference services for patrons interested in Black Family History
and Genealogy. It will be of interest of archivists, administrators,
librarians, local historians, and genealogists. Non SAA members as well as
members may attend. If you know of someone who will be in the area and who
is interested, pass the word along. The class is not yet full. If you have
questions, just let me know and thanks.
