Re: Giuliani papers
Unfortunately, at this time there is little to report. Though the
Governmental Operations Committee of the NY City Council was scheduled to
vote June 25 on the legislation introduced by Committee Chair Bill Perkins,
it did not take place. There are currently two bills in play, the Perkins
legislation, which would, among other things return custody of the Giuliani
records to the City, and legislation introduced by Mayor Bloomberg, which
differs in key respects and would not retroactively apply to the Giuliani
records.
You can read the text of the bills and find updates about the situation at

Please respond to Julie
Kerssen
Does anyone know what ever happened with the Giuliani papers situation?
There was supposed to be a City Council vote a month or so ago that would
have some bearing on the case, but I never heard what the outcome was. Can
anyone in NYC fill us in? Thanks!
