Yes, I agree with that totally. I have found file folders that have regular
file folder labels on them and they get a little sticky because sometimes
the adhesive leaches out from under the label. I prefer to be safe and limit
the use of nearly all adhesives in the archives. The only "label" I have
found to be satisfactory are the mylar label holders from Metal Edge,
because they are reusable. You just print out your "label" on a piece of
paper and cut it to fit in the holder. However, they don't make them in file
folder label size unless you want to cut them down.

Hi Aaron,
I've always been frustrated with folder labels, I've never met one that
wouldn't fall off! I prefer writing, in pencil, directly on the folder. That
way folders can be easily reused as well, just erase the prior
heading--easier than removing labels, and less unsightly than label
build-up.
