Rabbi Leo M. Franklin Archives posts new website

The Rabbi Leo M. Franklin Archives of Temple Beth El is pleased to announce
the launching of its new website! This new website allows researchers and
viewers to search our collection guides, photographs and special exhibits as
well as information on our research services and programs.

Temple Beth El is home to one of the most comprehensive Jewish congregational
archives in the nation and the largest such collection in Michigan. The
archives is named in memory of Dr. Leo M. Franklin, Temple Beth El's beloved
rabbi from 1899-1941 and one of the leading voices of the Jewish Reform
Movement nationwide.

The collections have been administered since 2000 by Certified Archivist Holly
Teasdle, with the assistance of a part-time Archival Intern, Stacie Guzzo, and
supported by congregational volunteers and student interns. The website was
designed by Deborah Rice, practicum student and recent graduate of Wayne State
University, Library and Information Science Program and Archival
Administration Program.
