Dennis, Heidi et al. -
As one who could see the lights of the Ambassador Bridge from my bedroom window on the Cdn side
of the Detroit and later took my Archival
Administration at Wayne State, it was my impression from Faygo (sp?)
television commercials that Detroiters call cream soda “red pop”. And yes, the folks in Windsor when I lived there drank Vernor’s
by the gallon until they were old enough to go over to Greek Town or Mexican Village, where other beverages required
designated drivers.
Cheers!

Heidi,
You and I KNOW that (10 years there...and I
lived two blocks form the old Vernor's plant for three years), but there are
some folks who would NEVER call it a ginger ale and would call it a cream
soda...their loss, our gain, eh?

BTW, where's the chili on this menu?

Excuse me, but a
correction is in order: Vernor's is NOT a cream soda. It's THE
true ginger ale from Detroit.

Along with the sparkling grape juice, what about some of that great cream soda
made in Michigan. Sorry, I don't remember the brand. A friend
brought some home from a trip.
