Re: Hebrew-Greek interlinear of OT
The following options aren't interlinears, but I think you should consider them instead of trying to find an interlinear. :) (2) CrossWire (online at http://www.crosswire.org/study/parallelstudy.jsp?del=all&add=OSMHB&add=LXX&add=Darby&key=gen+1) Thanxs David, the CrossWire link is g...

Re: Hebrew-Greek interlinear of OT
I thought the STEP bible would do that but I couldn't get it to work. https://www.stepbible.org/?q=version=OHB|reference=Gen.1|version=LXX&options=VUGLHN&display=INTERLINEAR Thanxs Stirling, that site definitely looks promising (and I love the pointing vowels for the Hebrew, easy to read wh...

Hebrew-Greek interlinear of OT
Hi: I've been searching for an interlinear of the OT (Hebrew) and the Greek. It would be great if the Greek was the LXX, translating the OT. I can't seem to find anything like this (I've seen interlinears with Hebrew/English (of the OT) and Greek/English (of the NT), but I'm looking for Hebrew/Greek...

Re: Why is κεκοπίακες v.rai.2s?
Thanxs everyone for the replies and information. I'm using Mounce's parsing codes, so "rai" is "perfect active indicative". Stephen, that was my next question, which was "in Rev 2:4 why does ἀφῆκες have the epsilon?", but thanxs Carl for the info and your explanation ex...

Why is κεκοπίακες v.rai.2s?
Hi:
My question is on κεκοπίακες in Rev 2:3
Rev 2:3: καὶ ὑπομονὴν ἔχεις καὶ ἐβάστασας διὰ τὸ ὄνομά μου καὶ οὐ κεκοπίακες
For the v.rai.2s form I would of expected κεκοπίακας (which is κε + κοπία + κα + ς)
Why is the "alpha" an "epsilon" in the word?
Thank-you,
Glenn

Re: Need NT Greek Text as an "ascii file"
thanxs for pointing that out - I thought (incorrectly) that α was always short (but I should of known it was long because of the circumflex),cwconrad wrote:What made you think that the alpha in διασπορᾷ is short?

Re: Need NT Greek Text as an "ascii file"
Thanxs Louis! That was exactly what I was looking for! I need the text file with Betacode just to play around with accents and stuff. Something I would do is to test the accent rule that goes something like "If the ultima is long, then the antepenult can NOT be stressed". So I would feed a...

Need NT Greek Text as an "ascii file"
Hi: I was wondering if anyone knew of a download for the NT Greek Text but as an "ascii file". For example, whenever ᾿Ιησοῦ appears in the NT Greek the text file would have ")Ihsou=" (which is what I would type in at typegreek.com or http://www.perseus.tufts.edu/hopper/morph for ...

Re: Preverbal anarthrous predicate nouns; are they qualitati
On 1 Thes 2:5, you might to look at Romans 1:9 where a similar construction is:
μάρτυς γάρ μού ἐστιν ὁ θεός ("For God is my witness")
Note that μάρτυς is preverbal predicate noun and is anarthrous. But is it qualitative? Definite?

Re: Preverbal anarthrous predicate nouns; are they qualitati
Would
ὁ θεὸς ἀγάπη ἐστίν (1 John 4:8)
be an example of a preverbal anarthrous predicate noun that is qualitative?
