Re: Best Passages to Read after 1st Year Greek
This site looks very promising, Jacob. I've done a little digital flashcard work with Anki, so like the concept. The listings for the vocab frequency per chapter/passage look like they will be helpful. My LXX vocab skills aren't as good, so I will be glad of the help for that part also. Thanks for ...

Re: Zoom discussion groups of Greek linguistics
I like the idea of this type of zoom group. I'd definitely try to participate if someone starts something like this.

Re: Best Passages to Read after 1st Year Greek
I am just seeing this now, I realize the original post is from 2015. I did something similar recently, but I used the vocabulary from Black's textbook as a basis for calculating a students ability to read a text, rather than a pure "most common words". I color coded it in an attempt to mak...

Biblical Greek Mini Stories
I have been practicing Koine Greek composition and recording short "mini stories" designed to provide comprehensible input for beginners, and uploading audio for the text onto youtube. Sharing it here in case it might be helpful for anyone. https://biblicaltext.com/study/biblical-greek-min...

Re: Koine Reading Group on Reddit
One year on, I’m interested to hear your reflections on how it went in terms of interest levels and value of these types of things in a free open forum. I vacillate between seeing such activities are super valuable and other times being utterly depressed about low interest. So I’d love to hear your ...

I just want to make sure you know about James Tauber's work, specifically https://github.com/jtauber/greek-inflexion and https://github.com/jtauber/greek-accentuation Thanks for sharing. I only recently found out about the learner texts project, its very cool. The Greek Inflection and accentuation ...

Re: Biblical Greek Dictionary and Parsing Practice App (iOS)
I've changed the website to act like the iOS app for now. I would love to get the accents filled out ASAP, but yes it does need to be done right. I have started work on Dan Carsons Book on Accents, it is great, but its a bit tedious to work through. If anyone has other recommendations on accent reso...

Re: Biblical Greek Dictionary and Parsing Practice App (iOS)
It would be better I think to indicate that unaccented words are present for the time being where the correct form is not yet producible in the code. Yes, iOS app deliberately doesnt add accents to words that don't appear in the NT, So it basically shows words with accents when the word appears in ...

Re: Biblical Greek Dictionary and Parsing Practice App (iOS)
The the legalities of scraping make me a little allergic to that option. Although word endings are technically facts that cant be copyrighted, wikipedia is technically under a CC license. Long term think I want to end up with a dictionary and data set that is 100% fully public domain so that it can ...
