Re: John 16.26
Here's what BDAG says about the distinction between the middle and active voice for this verb: (without any real distinction betw. act. and mid.: the distinc. betw. act. [‘ask’ outright] and mid. [‘ask’ as a loan] found by ancient grammarians has only very limited validity for our lit. [B-D-F §316, ...

Re: Tributes to Carl Conrad
It's on his St Louis University page:

I wonder if those will stay up? Maybe somebody who knows more programming than I should write a script to back them up to the Wayback Machine. It would be a pity for his stuff to disappear.

Re: Tributes to Carl Conrad
I always found Carl to be a very knowledgeable and caring teacher. We didn't correspond a lot, but when Con Campbell's book on aspect first came out, Carl mentioned that he was writing a review. I offered to host it on my blog. He accepted the offer (https://anebooks.blogspot.com/2008/11/review-of-c...

No. Glossa House is located in Wilmore, KY, the home of Asbury Seminary. As far as I know, they don't have a European distributor.

Re: The spirit of "νυν" ?
Jonathan has a good response, but perhaps it would be better to take a look at the whole attributive phrase: τοῦ νῦν ἐνεργοῦντος. I would take the participle, ἐνεργοῦντος, to be governing the νῦν. Hence: "now working," which seems to be the way that most translations take it.

Re: General question about future editions of the AF
I enquired of some of my contacts at Baker, and they told me there are plans, but it depends on Holmes's time to do it. So, no definite timetable right now.

Re: General question about future editions of the AF
Are you sure about Holmes being dead? I see that google lists that on the sidebar, but according to Bethel's site, and numerous other sites, he is still alive and active. As for a new edition, I have no idea.

Re: pronunciation difference between η and ει
Ask any text critic. It was a problem. For example, 1 John 1:4:
καὶ ταῦτα γράφομεν ἡμεῖς, ἵνα ἡ χαρὰ ἡμῶν ᾖ πεπληρωμένη. Or, is it καὶ ταῦτα γράφομεν ἡμεῖς, ἵνα ἡ χαρὰ ὑμῶν ᾖ πεπληρωμένη? The manuscripts differ... There are many others like that.

Re: Acts 21:25
Part of the issue might be difference in subject matter. Without looking at the occurrences in detail, it's hard to know. I know that's not a good answer, but I don't have the time right now to dig into it any deeper. Maybe a good commentary that touches on the language, like an ICC one, or F.F. Bru...

Re: Acts 21:25
If you take a look at the occurrences of τέ, you'll see that it clusters in Acts, Hebrews, and Luke. Those books are generally considered the "best" Greek, i.e., closer to Attic/Classical Greek. It's part of their Atticizing style.
