Re: New Testament Greek Manuscripts, by Reuben Swanson

Transcriptions for manuscripts are becoming available from the German Bible Society and from Alan Bunning, my guess is that we will see more of this online and in PDFs, generated from data that is now much more widely available than it was when Swanson did his work. And that also has the advantage t...

And this: Mark 2:23 ἐν δὲ τοῖς σάββασιν παραπορεύεται διὰ τῶν σπορίμων, καὶ οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ ἤρξαντο ...

Infinitive Subjects of ἐγένετο

I am trying to get a better understanding of infinitive subjects of ἐγένετο. I suspect that they have a discourse function, but I am not sure exactly what it is. Let me dump some data on you and ask some questions ... Here are the examples I found with this query - I will ask some questions in the n...

I'm sorry Jonathan, thanks for your reply but I need more clarification.
Barry explained what I meant quite well.

Your attempt to make these connections through Hebrew is doomed to failure. Please restrict your questions to asking about the Greek languag...
