Re: Books by gramatical category

Micheal Palmer's Comprehensive Bibliography of Hellenistic Greek Linguistics is pretty helpful for this kind of thing. So is Mark Goodacre's ntgateway.

I'm sure other people here have bibliographies, these are two I have used.

Re: 1 Cor 6:4

What about the first part of this?

What do you think the difference is between βιωτικὰ μὲν οὖν κριτήρια ἐὰν ἔχητε and, say, ἐὰν βιωτικὰ κριτήρια ἔχητε?

Re: The BRIDGE Bible

Incidentally, I think Bill Mounce's interlinear is also a significant improvement on the usual approach, here is his interlinear for Philippians.

Re: The BRIDGE Bible

If you are g...

Re: Introducing Bob Vorick

I wasn't certain of all the rules and standards here, but I am now. You are still welcome to post the links, but I'd like to try to explain a little more from my perspective. The goal of reading anything in the original is to be able to appreciate what gets lost in translation, but that requires kn...

Re: 1 Cor 6:4

Personally I'm having a hard time seeing that it could be anything other than a question. It might be helpful to list which interpretations you'd like to consider in more detail (a good critical commentary like the ICC should do this). Sure - I think there are two basic questions (see Meyer , Expos...

Re: Introducing Bob Vorick

Hi Bob - you can feel free to post the URLs, but I'd be surprised if people on this forum are going to be all that enthusiastic. Most of us are already skeptical about interlinears because they don't actually help you understand what a Greek text says, you would usually be better off using normal En...
