Stephen, Thank you for your contribution. I can see how you have arrived at your conclusions. However, I have been reading the whole Gospel of John and have found the order of ὁ ζῶν καὶ πιστεύων to be in the reverse order of John's similar uses in the rest of the Gospel and Letters. Thank you Timothy, but my interest is in the order of these 2 participles. I was hoping a Johannine expert could provide one explanation for this reverse order. In the section on case endings, Mounce on page 33 suggested you learn the paradigms left to right. I learned my paradigms top to bottom. Which method did you use and why?
