Re: Rom. 4:1 "What then will we say?"

Rom. 4:1 Τί οὖν ἐροῦμεν εὑρηκέναι Ἀβραὰμ τὸν προπάτορα ἡμῶν κατὰ σάρκα; (SBL) My question is whether or not the rendering of Wright and Hays stretches the infinitive to far? Re: Mt 1:19 AUTHN objcet or subject

Re: Passive Imperative

However, you said that ALL the passive imperatives are middle. Perhaps my understanding of the middle is too narrow, but there are a few occurrences that still strike me as truly passive. I believe it involves a memory setting that limits PHP's use of memory. I don't have shell access to be able to set this myself, I'll open up a ticket and see i...

Re: Luke 6:20 vocative?

It it were truly vocative, Luke 6:20bc would have to be punctuated with an extra comma as if Μακάριοι, οἱ πτωχοί, ὅτι ὑμετέρα ἐστὶν ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ θεοῦ. But this leaves μακάριοι hanging out there with nothing to do. Rather, μακάριοι is straightforwardly the predicate nominative to the subject nomina...

I also like:

Pollux: Archimedes Project Dictionary Access http://archimedes.fas.harvard.edu/pollux/
This has a nice interface to LSJ and Lewis & Short's Latin Dictionary, plus other language lexica.

Re: Best online New Testament?

I personally prefer TLG (http://www.tlg.uci.edu/), so that I can easily also search outside the NT. Though some texts are available free without a subscription, the NT is unfortunately not one of them.
