Re: Creating a "Reader's" Edition

The copyright status of the Greek text of a critical edition is an unresolved issue under U.S. copyright law. (The apparatus and other value-added material by the editor is copyrightable, of course.) To be safe and to be courteous, I would recommend using out-of-copyright texts for reader's editions...

As I feared, the holam gets its own space and took the cantillation mark with it.

Re: Having problems viewing fonts? (Call for Guinea Pigs!)

How does the Hebrew look in http://ibiblio.org/bgreek/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=260&p=1074&sid=4f0a20fc4f76993cbdae4c7ed4b263a6#p1064 I think Arial Unicode MS is the culprit, spacing the vowel points. Could we please place Tahoma before Arial Unicode MS in the font list? It looks like fine to me in...

Re: Having problems viewing fonts? (Call for Guinea Pigs!)

I'm still getting Lucida Grande displayed for my content (even outside of text boxes). This appears to be the case because the .content style on line 1180 of style.php is overriding any other font family specified elsewhere. As for text box, the relevant CSS style is #message-box textarea on line 25...

Re: Having problems viewing fonts? (Call for Guinea Pigs!)

Tahoma has all the glyphs, and I think Arial Unicode MS has them too, so either of those will be better to list ahead of Lucida Grande. The text box has a different font family list, which is: "Trebuchet MS", Verdana, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;" Listed first is Trebuchet MS, but this too lacks th...

Re: Having problems viewing fonts? (Call for Guinea Pigs!)

As far as I can tell, Lucida Grande for Windows does not have the pre-composed Greek glyphs in its font, so it should not be first in the list of fonts.

Re: John 9:6 Position/Referent of αὐτοῦ

If αὐτοῦ is some kind of (partitive) object of the verb, then it's certainly in the right place in the sentence. On the other hand, John 9:11 Ὁ ἄνθρωπος ὁ λεγόμενος Ἰησοῦς πηλὸν ἐποίησεν καὶ ἐπέχρισέν μου τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς suggests that the αὐτοῦ of v.6 is to be construed with τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς (note here...

Re: Having problems viewing fonts? (Call for Guinea Pigs!)

OK, for the most part, I'm getting sans serif, but I'm still seeing Gentium in post titles and input text boxes.

I don't think any solution that requires users to tag or do something is going to be viable.
