Jason proposed that we start this off with a thread or two and make sure it has momentum before creating a sub-forum. I agree. Sounds fine to me. Also: Dickey's book is not easy. Plan on going slow. People may move at different rates. Just be aware of that ... Yes, it is quite difficult :D

Yes, this is a common thing to do in Greek. I don't know what the phenomenon is called, but I assumed it for the purpose of clarity of grouping. If you take τὴν παρ᾿ ἡμῖν ἀρχαιολογίαν as an example, given the fact that word order in Greek can be quite fluid, by putting παρ᾿ ἡμῖν between the article ...
