Re: Didache 12:1 and Commentary?
Just one quibble with the translation: ἕξετε is future.
As for right/left, that seems to be the consensus. Here's one example.

Re: Copulative verbs
The difference here is that the copula does not take a direct object. It takes a subject complement (in the nominative). Your sentence Μιχαηλ μελλει γενεσθαι πατερ is correct except that πατερ is actually vocative, so it would mean, "Michael is about to become, O father!" without specifyin...

As for the variation in word order, it could be a scribe tending to regularize, either consciously or unintentionally.

Re: Ephesians 3:16-17
There's no magic bullet for determining if a stretch of text is parenthetical. You just have to analyze the syntax and, if that's the best way to make sense of it, that's how I'd take it. I'm not sure we have quite the same perspective on parentheses, though. I don't see anything parenthetical in th...

Re: Help translating a text
When you say "cognate verb/noun combination" are you referring to "επεθυμησεν Παυλος επιθυμία μεγαλη"? (I'm not really sure what a cognate is). Cognate is used more often to describe words in two or more languages that stem from a common root (like Spanish sangre and French sang...
