Re: Accents and article
Just to be clear: The accent on ἐμίσησάν με δωρεάν is correct. The acute on ἐμίσησάν comes from με . You should show your friend this definition from LSJ: II. acc. δωρεάν as Adv., as a free gift, freely, Hdt.5.23, prob. in And.1.4; μηδὲν δ. πράττειν Plb. 18.34.7, cf. LXX Jb.1.9; δ. λειτουργεῖν Test....

Re: Is learning accents really important?
I was a senior in high school when I first read the accentuation rules in Mounce's grammar, and they made perfect sense to me very early on. I always considered it part of learning the language.

Re: Paragraph breaks THGNT Mark 10:32
It was on sale at SBL for $15 (hardback) or $35 (fake leather). It is a beautiful book to hold in your hands, well bound, readable typeface, no clutter. They even put the introductory material at the end so that when you open it up, it opens up directly to the text. The punctuation is also distinct...

Re: Paragraph breaks THGNT Mark 10:32
It's already available at https://www.stepbible.com.Stirling Bartholomew wrote: ↑November 15th, 2017, 4:53 pmI intend to add the electronic version of THGNT to my workflow as soon as it becomes available.
For example: https://www.stepbible.org/?q=version=TH ... ions=VHNUG
Notice that it's not got the paragraph divisions, though.

Re: Intro - Matt
Matt,
Best of luck in your studies!
We're starting a reading group on Jan 1 on Facebook to read through the whole Hebrew OT and Greek NT in a year. Maybe you'd be interested in joining in the Greek part? Or, reading the LXX while we read Hebrew?!
Regards,
Jason

Re: Which is the best tablet for reading?
I'm simply been one to avoid Apple at all costs (and Apple's costs are high!). I currently use a Windows tablet and an Android phone. My phone cost me $230 rather than Apple's $800, and my tablet was $450 (plus $50 for the awesome Surface pen!) in comparison to the thousand plus that Apple wants for...

I have a Windows Surface 3 Tablet. It's awesome. There is no difference today in polytonic support between iPad and its competitors. Android and Windows both support polytonic Greek fully.

Re: Errors In Revelation?
if the accusative ἀντίμιμον in the phrase κιβωτὸν ἀντίμιμον is, as you and Randall claim, 100% feminine and 100% no masculine, then how would the masculine form be: I say it is one and the same, namely ἀντίμιμον. So not to decide, which gender. What we're looking for is a mismatch in gender, in ord...

Re: Κάθισον (kathison)
I see now that in Jonathan's original thread he included a PDF with all instances of κάθισον in the Septuagint. He lists ten verses in which it is found, eight of which are in the standard Old Testament books.
