This is super awesome!
How close is this text to NA28 / UBS5? Or is it more close to a "reconstructed" KJV?

Audio of Revelation?
Has anyone done recordings of sections of Revelation using one of the more modern pronunciations?
(Actually I can deal with any pronunciation, but I am wondering if there are any using the Booth or Modern pronunciation that I haven't come across online)

Hi Jonathan, Thanks so much for your detailed reply. I've so far just completed first year greek, so this form of dative is one I am not yet familiar with. Im looking forward to progressing to the next textbook. Thanks!

Matt. 5:8 μακάριοι οἱ καθαροὶ τῇ καρδίᾳ, ὅτι αὐτοὶ τὸν θε
Hi Guys, Just doing some greek practice. Is it correct to say τῇ καρδίᾳ is "instrumental dative"? I know instrumental dative gives you "by" instead of "in" which the english translations use. But that seems to be a closer fit than treating it as normal dative (i.e. to/f...

Re: Parsing μετανοήσῃς in Revelation 2:5
I think you are asking why it the aorist is μετ α νοήσῃς instead of μετ ε νοήσῃς? The augment is the reason the 1 aor is μετ ε νόησα instead of μετ α νόησα. But the augment exists only in the indicative mood, so it is not found in the subjunctive. So μετανοήσῃς is built on the 1 Aor stem, but witho...

Yep, it apparently is, but I have no idea why.timothy_p_mcmahon wrote:μετανοήσῃς is aorist subjunctive.

Parsing μετανοήσῃς in Revelation 2:5
Revelation 2:5 contains the following clause: εἰ δὲ μή, ἔρχομαί σοι καὶ κινήσω τὴν λυχνίανσου ἐκ τοῦ τόπου αὐτῆς, ἐὰν μὴ μετανοήσῃς . According to BDAG, repent has the following forms: μετανοέω fut. μετανοήσω; 1 aor. μετενόησα (ἐμετενόησαν w. double augment ApcEsdr 2:24) I know that ἐὰν is to be use...

Re: How do we get ἐνδεδυμένον in Revelation 1:13?
ἐν- δε -δυ-μέν-ον [preposition "in" - reduplication - lexical-root "cover oneself / lost from sight" - middle participle marker - number-case ending The reduplication (deliberate and meaningful stutter) comes between the preposition and the lexical-root. You may find benefit fro...

I was having a mysql error appear, complaining about a funny character in the above post, so I have uploaded it as an image.

τὸ ἄλφα καὶ τὸ ὦ
Hi Guys, Revelation 1:8 Ἐγώ εἰμι τὸ ἄλφα καὶ τὸ ὦ ⸆, λέγει κύριος ὁ θεός Does anyone know why alpha is spelt out and omega is not? It is not explained in any of the commentaries I have, if you know of a commentary that might help clarify things like this, I'd love to know about it. I assume its some...
