Re: nauthenticity of ἐλθέτω τὸ πνεῦμα σου τὸ ἅγιον ἐφʼ ἡμᾶς
With the usual caveat concerning text critical issues, let me suggest that the premise of the argument is flawed. It assumes that the language and structure of the petition is fixed in a certain way, so that a petition, to be included, has to follow that pattern. Purely from the perspective of langu...

Re: ινα clauses Result or Purpose
To follow up on Carl's excellent response, that's not a rule at all -- it's simply wrong. Purpose or result has nothing to do with the active or passive nature of the verb, everything to do with context.

Re: Acts 3:2-3 What is the function of ὃς?
I've often wondered whether this isn't akin to the Latin usage of the relative pronoun qui at the beginning of a new clause with a simple sense of "And he ... " -- "And when he saw Peter and John enter ... " Was that a feature of Greek too, in earlier Greek, when Latin and Greek...

Re: εαν and δ αν

Luke 9:62 οὐδεὶς ἐπιβαλὼν τὴν χεῖρα ἐπ᾿ ἄροτρον καὶ βλέπων εἰς τὰ ὀπίσω εὔθετός ἐστιν τῇ βασιλείᾳ τοῦ θεοῦ. Hi guys, I am trying to understand the limits of how this verse can be translated. The ESV Translates it as: “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God...
