Is ὀσφῦς (2) "reproductive organs" just a Biblical meaning?

In Modern Greek η οσφύς is a literary word for only the "waist". In the BDAG entry for ὀσφῦς doesn't separate references by grouping them into those in which sense (1) "waist" was meant and those in which sense (2) "reproductive organs" was meant.

Is the BDAG's second sense of ὀσφῦς limited to Biblical texts and related literature, or is it something that was used eariler on in native Greek literature?
